BIO : #34 Bernie Bahr 6’11”, 220 pound center from Ashland, Montana, Bahr is of Native American decent. His father was from the Blackfeet Nation, which is one of the ten largest tribes in the United States with 17,321 members. His mother was a member of the Northern Cheyenne tribe in southeastern Montana. Bahr was raised on both reservations located in Montana and is enrolled as a member of the Northern Cheyenne tribe. In 2008, he left Montana to accept a basketball scholarship at Brown Mackie College in Salina. Bahr played two years of college basketball then, in his free time, joined various recreational leagues in the area which led him to Coach Andre Favors and the Saints. On the court, Bahr plays smart and thinks quick. He excels as one of the best shooters on the team. His secret? Concentration and confidence. Bahr also claims to have a short term memory when it comes to missing shots. Misses don’t affect him. Bahr is excited about the opportunity to play basketball again and intends to pour his heart and soul into winning for the Saints this season. Bahr is currently employed at Crestwood Cabinetry. He and his fiancé, Ericka, have two children.
